Teenage mothers have rights to be in school. High Schools Must Stop Coersing Pregnant and Parenting Teens to Leave School! It is against the school's anti-discrimination policy and a violation of Title IX, which says that educational providers may not discriminate on the basis of pregnancy.
Mothers on college campuses need
affordable
day care. The bright side on day care is the "Child
Care Access Means Parents in Schools Program" gives
grants which allow colleges to offer low cost or no cost day
care to Pell Grant recipients. Therefore many of the large state
universities have been able to expand day care facilities. For
more information Go to Activist
Mom page.
Moms in Colleges have rights. IT'S THE LAW! Title IX is the federal law which protects gender equity in education. It has only been applied to sports. You can use this law if you feel you have been discriminated against on a college campus.
